The first air pistol team was formed by members of a traditional gun club towards the end of the 1970s.
Since the greatest successes were achieved in individual pistol disciplines, the success story also continues in the competitive teams. The current Team Captain Rüdiger Kaster was a member of this former first team and is still a member of the current Bavarian League Team.

The teen shooters Andrea Benker and Rebecca Jehn were seamlessly integrated from 2002 to 2004. During the same time period, Bernd Rödel, a former top rifle shooter, joined the air pistol team. Also in 2002, Michael Bittner joined the first team from the reserve, thus completing the former District League Team. The most recent addition to the team in 2006 was Benjamin Gräf, who became the sixth and final member of the most recent Bavarian League Team.

Thus, this team with an age average of 22 years is one of the youngest teams competing at this level.
